BOOK BLURB

Maggie Carpenter is ready for a change— and to leave her ordinary life in South Carolina behind. But when she accepts a scholarship to the International School in London, a university attended by the privileged offspring of diplomats and world leaders, Maggie might get more than she bargained for.

When Maggie meets Hugh, a twentysomething British guy, she finds herself living the life she always wanted. Suddenly she’s riding around the city in a Ferrari, wearing borrowed designer clothes and going to the hottest clubs. The only problem? Another guy, the one she can’t seem to keep her hands off of.

Half French, half Lebanese, and ridiculously wealthy, Samir Khouri has made it clear he doesn’t do relationships. He’s the opposite of everything Maggie thought she wanted…and he’s everything she can’t resist. Torn between her dream guy and the boy haunting her dreams, Maggie has to fight for her own happy ending. In a city like London, you never know where you stand, and everything can change in the blink of an eye.

This is a New Adult romance recommended for readers 17 and up.

Author Interview

Thank you so much for answering my questions Chanel!

Thanks for having me!

I See London..I love the cover by the way!

Thank you! I was so excited when I saw it. It was sexy and fun, exactly what I was hoping for!

I See London is your debut novel. Tell us, how was it to write a novel and have it published?

It’s a really amazing feeling. You’ve worked so hard on this book and it’s definitely a bit emotional when you send it out to the world. I saw my book on someone's Goodreads shelf—next to books that I'd grown up loving, books that changed my life—and I burst into tears. I think that was the moment that it hit me that I actually wrote a book and people were going to read it.

Did Maggie give you a hard time while writing I See London?

You know, she didn’t. I had a really clear image of her in my mind from start to finish so she was probably the easiest character for me to write. I would say that of all the characters the one who surprised me the most was her roommate, Fleur.

What do you like most about writing for this age group?

I love how real everything is. Sometimes it’s messy and awkward but my goal is to write a relatable story that readers can identify with. My characters make mistakes and don’t always know what they want or how to get it, but I think that’s such a huge part of being in your late teens/twenties. You don’t always have the confidence or the communication skills to make things go smoothly, but the bumps along the way are what make the journey interesting.

What makes your book different from other books out there in the same genre?

I SEE LONDON is set at an international university in London. The characters are from all over the world and bring unique life experiences with them. It definitely provides for a different take on the traditional university experience. Plus, there's the added bonus of trips to Paris and Venice and a very swoon worthy half French, half Lebanese hero:)

When should we expect the sequel to I See London, London Falling?

London Falling releases on July 7th.

What are you currently reading?
I’m drafting a new book right now so I haven’t had a chance to read as much as I’d like but I did just finish RAW by Belle Aurora. It was very dark and very good. I’m hoping there’s a sequel because I need more!

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

Ooh the project I’m working on right now is super secret, but I can say that it’s a NA contemporary romance set in the U.S. The characters are in their early to mid-twenties and it’s the first book in a connected trilogy about three sisters. The heroes are all pretty alpha and on the older side. It’s a LOT hotter than anything I’ve ever written. I’m pretty obsessed with it right now :)

Can't wait to read it!Thank you for your time!
CHANEL CLEETON Bio

Originally a Florida girl, at seventeen Chanel moved to London to attend an international university. In the four years that followed, she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, learned how to dance, travelled through Europe, and made lifelong friendships. Chanel fell in love with London and planned to stay there forever. But fate intervened on a Caribbean cruise, when an American fighter pilot with smooth dance moves, swept her off her feet. Now, a happily ever after later, Chanel is living her next adventure in South Korea. An avid reader and hopeless romantic, she is happiest curled up with a book. She has a weakness for handbags, puppy cuddles, and her fighter pilot husband. Chanel writes New Adult contemporary romances and Young Adult thrillers. Her New Adult debut, I SEE LONDON, will be released by Harlequin (HQN) on February 3, 2014, followed by a sequel, LONDON FALLING, later in the year.
